We've
seen Dante sit proudly atop many things; piles of enemies, thrones and
building tops, to name a few. Now we can add "Capcom release calanders"
to that list, as Devil May Cry
for PSP is currently resting at the top of Capcom Japan's recent and
future games list. Sure, there's no release date attached and the game
was discussed by Capcom way back in June 2005, but we heard a rumor only last September that the game will definitely release at some point.
We're
not in the habit of believing every rumor that's thrown at us, so we'll
be waiting for E3 to see if anything is mentioned there. The PSP could
definitely do with a few new games to flesh out its 2008 release
schedule and Devil May Cry would be a perfect fit.

Heads
up, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3 owners! Prepare to get
your broadband connections all ablaze as we've just received word that
the demo to the highly-anticipated slash-em-up, Capcom's Devil May Cry 4, is hitting both the Xbox Live Market Place and the PlayStation Store tomorrow.
That's
right, on January 24, 2008, gamers will be able to partake in a slice
of Dante and Nero's sword-clashing activities. Awesome.
So, what's the demo about? Playing as Nero, of course! One of Devil May Cry 4's
main draws, players will be able to step into the newcomer's shoes and
take advantage of the Devil Bringer. With it, armchair demon slayers
can pretty much dominate anything that the game throws their way - in
style.
There's also the newly-unveiled Exceed system that lets
Nero "rev up" his own sword as if it was a motorcycle throttle, before
dealing out some heavy-duty hurt onto his enemies. And after the long,
hard slog, you'll be greeted with none other than Berial for a final
showdown. Epic indeed.
So, you guys know what to do, right? Set
your alarm clocks, stay up if you have to. Just make sure that your PS3
or Xbox 360 is powered up and ready to download as soon as January 24
hits. Updates as we get them!

Fans of Capcom's Devil May Cry 4 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC) listen up! The soundtrack for the game is expected to be available in Japan this February 28. It is expected to go for 3,990 (about US 37.50) plus tax. The
three-disc boxed set is said to contain all 104 music pieces from the
game. In addition, there will also be a booklet with over 20 pages of
commentary from the composers, song lyrics and a few notes from the
development staff. Knowing how popular the Devil May Cry
series is, we can probably expect the soundtrack to be sold out in a
couple of days after its launch. So if you aren't based in Japan and
want a copy for yourself, you might want to start looking into ways of importing the Devil May Cry 4 soundtrack.

It looks like the promisedDevil May Cry 4 demo is right around the corner. The news comes in the form of an advertisement found in the latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly (right next to the decent review scores for Culdcept Saga).
According to said advertisement, (get this) a demo is coming soon for
Xbox Live Marketplace and its bastard cousin the Playstation Store. And
that's about it really. Not terribly unexpected considering Capcom's
success with demos on the 360 thus far. If demos can make best sellers
out of untested franchises like Dead Rising and Lost Planet, we imagine it can do the same for a mainstay like Devil May Cry. The only question now is exactly how soon is "soon. |
